AUGUST STEAM SPECIALS OVER THE FORTH BRIDGE

Departing from EDINBURGH WAVERLEY

THURSDAY 14TH AND MONDAY 18TH AUGUST 2025

Relax on board our lovingly restored heritage coaches for a journey behind Gresley A4 Pacific 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' over the Forth Rail Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Four trains will run over 2 dates departing Edinburgh Waverley at 10:00 and 18:00 on Thursday 14th and Monday 18th August 2025.

Departing from Edinburgh Waverley, its not long before our train passes across the world famous Forth Bridge, a highlight for many onboard, as our heritage train heads for the scenic Fife coastline passing through Aberdour, Burntisland and Kirkcaldy. We then turn inland at Thornton Jn towards Dunfermline City where there will be short break whilst our steam locomotive takes on water.

Once everyone is back on board we take the little used freight line towards Kincardine, skirting the shore line of the River Forth as we pass the beautiful village of Culross. Our next stop is Stirling, where our guests are offered the chance to stretch their legs and grab a photo of our locomotive.

On departure our train will pass through Larbert and Falkirk before 60007 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’ is offered the chance to stretch his legs as we speed along the Edinburgh to Glasgow Mainline back towards Edinburgh Waverley.
