Our sold out train departed Glenrothes on time just after 6am on its journey north behind 37401 and 37403. This special train featured in episode 8 of ‘Francis Bourgeois and Chris Harris: We Saved a Train’, as it was hoped 37025 would feature but sadly failed during its test runs in the run up to the tour. A lovely relaxing day was had in some beautiful Spring sunshine as the train travelled from Fife and across the iconic Forth Bridge before continuing along the spectacular West Highland Line to Fort William. Leg stretches were provided at Garelochhead, Arrochar & Tarbet and Rannoch. The train ran on time throughout.
Thanks to all the passengers who found the time to provide feedback, we do love to read it.
